Welcome baby Mark!

We welcomed baby Mark Iver on January 8th at 5:59am.  He narrowly missed Cammy's birthday by 6 hours.  We were overjoyed to find out that we had a healthy baby boy.  Cammy loved her brother at first sight, her first words were "Brother, kiss?"

Happy birthday Cammy!

Happy 2nd birthday Cammy

You are such a sweet girl, I am so blessed to be your mama! I can't believe that you are 2.  Your favorite things include running around our new house, the number 2, the color blue, cuddling with me while having a snack and watching Mickey, taking care of your baby dolls, having tea parties, coloring, playing with play-doh, reading books, having Dada run with you around the house.  When you wake up in the morning you call out either, "Daddy" or "Mommy" and repeat that until one of us comes to get you.  You are understanding nearly everything we say now and are coming up with new words everyday.  Today you learned the word snooze when Nana said that Owen went to take a snooze.  You are a very neat girl, and you love to help me. You "help" fold the laundry, and you throw dirty clothes into the washer.  You also love to throw things away when I ask you to put it in the garbage.  You give the best grins and have such a funny sense of humor.  No matter what color something is, when we ask you say it is blue, and then you say the real color.  Since we faced you forward in your car seat you learned about traffic lights and for awhile after we moved to a place with less lights you were upset when you couldn't see one in the distance.  You know that green means go and red means stop.

The list goes on and on! You never cease to amaze your dad and I and we are so proud of you! I went into labor on the afternoon of your birthday and you almost got a brother, but he gave you your own birthday instead.  You love him so much already!  We can't wait to see you learn and grow, just don't grow too fast!

Love,
Mommy

End of 2012

The craziness of the end of 2012 started with the sale of our Dearborn home.  We sold it in mid-October and then we searched and found our new home.

Cammy was a ladybug for Halloween and actually enjoyed trick-or-treating with Emmy and went to way more houses and I thought she would have.

We had a great time tailgating again this year, Cammy enjoyed coming to the party and then going to Grandpa or Grandma's house.

We enjoyed Thanksgiving up north at the cottage this year, and even got a post-dinner walk to the park in.  We had such great weather!

Cammy visited with Santa at the Midland Mall on Black Friday.  She was hesitant to tell him what she wanted, but eventually warmed up.

We moved less than 6 weeks before my due date.  It couldn't have gone better.  We closed on our Dearborn home on Thursday afternoon and then closed on the new home on Friday morning. Our stuff stayed on the truck overnight and met us at the new place in the morning.

We cut down our tree a little later than we wanted, but we got it up and decorated by mid-December.  Cammy loved helping decorate and would point out her favorite ornaments to visitors.  She also made sure we turned the lights on in the morning and would say goodnight to the tree in the evening.

Cammy got settled in to her new playroom and got started right away at telling Dada what to do and where to sit and play.

We went up north and celebrated Christmas the weekend before Christmas.

Cammy enjoyed the snow and throwing it into the lake.

Cammy got the hang of stockings right away.

Christmas Eve pajamas and present from us

Our first Christmas in our new home.  Cammy loved her doll nursery from Santa.

Cammy loves Frankie "Bankie"

She also loved the fur-real puppy from Aunt Leah "ee-ah"

Randy was promoted at work!

We had a family reunion with the Websters after Christmas as Gram was home from Florida.

It was a wonderful end to a great year filled with many blessings.

20 months

We are officially on the downward slide to 2 years old.

Cammy,

At 20 months you never cease to amaze and entertain us.  You are learning new words and come up with independent ideas constantly.  Since our house is currently on the market and we moved most of your toys to storage, you have had to be more creative during playtime.  Your favorite activity this week has been putting your babydoll in your high chair and putting all sorts of food from the pantry on her tray and then declaring her all done and putting it all away.

Craziness

It has been a crazy few months and I have fallen horribly behind on posts. But, it's a new year, and we have had lot's of new things over the past few months.  Enough newness in fact to have our new years resolution to be focusing on being content and getting settled and enjoying life :)  2012 brought us a new house, new office location for Randy, and a new baby.  We can't wait to see what 2013 brings.
