2 more teeth!

Cammy has been uncomfortable the past week or so and yesterday she seemed much better. I looked in her mouth when she was eating dinner and could tell that two more teeth had broken through. Her upper and lower left canines. I was expecting the upper right canine, so I was surprised to see those two had come through. I guess she was working on 4 teeth all at once! No wonder she was uncomfortable. She really has been great about getting ALL of her teeth so fast.  They only bother her and/or give her a fever/runny nose when she is getting four at once. Generally once one or two breaks through she is much better and can manage it.  Funnily enough people always ask if she has teeth or how many she has and are usually surprised when I answer with 12. Now the answer is 14!

First steps.... so PRECIOUS!

Cammy is continuing to make progress towards walking. About a month ago she took one step and then dove to me, and then two days ago she took two towards me and then dove. Last night she took about 4 steps in a row a few different times. I can't get over the joy that it brings me to see her learning to walk. It's also a little bittersweet because that means she'll be running soon and also farther from the little baby she was a year ago.  But she is oh.so.sweet when she takes steps towards me and then ends it with the biggest hug ever.  She is so proud of herself, and we are too!!

12 month check up.

Cammy had her 12 month check up this morning and was 20lbs 7oz (50%ile) and 30.5 inches (90%ile). Good job girl! Doc continues to call her 'lean and mean -- just the way you want them.'  Although, she is not mean, just tall. I can't believe she is 2 and a half feet tall! That is halfway to 5'. She had two shots as well and did not like them, but quickly calmed down after they were over.

Cammy is ONE

My oh my how the time does fly...

Those were the words on her party invitation. It pretty much sums up the entire year. Although, it has been filled to the brim with happy moments and joy.  I think this makes the time goes faster. I am so grateful for Cammy and the blessings that we have received as a little family of three.  We continue to grow closer and enjoy each other all the more.

Cammy,

At your first birthday, we couldn't help but be overfilled with joy and emotion. It is so amazing to see you grow and change. At 1 year old you love to give hugs. You are the life of the party. While you take a little time to warm up to a room, once you do, you own it. You warm everyone's hearts by reaching out to new people. It seems your heart has room to love a lot of people, which is good because a lot of people love you! This past week you have started walking behind your walk-behind car and also pushing buttons on toys in the past couple weeks to hear music. You dance once the music starts and clap when it is finished. You have to try and explore anything new. You do seem to know what Daddy and I mean when we say no, but still try to test the limits. It is so cute when you go up to something that you know you aren't suppose to and shake your head no at it.  Your first birthday was a joy to celebrate and we can't wait to celebrate more birthdays! Although I hope it doesn't go too fast!

Love you!
